Fireplace 3D Screensaver 2.0 build 9

I have to admit I am a big fan of the British show “Grand Designs.” What I like the most is that just about every person on that show puts a fireplace in the new home they build. It must be nice to snuggle in front of a warm fireplace during a cold day – maybe with a cup of hot chocolate in your hand.

I don’t have a fireplace at my place, but I have the next best thing – a computer and the right piece of software. When I say the right piece of software I mean the 3PlaneSoft-developed Fireplace 3D Screensaver and Animated Wallpaper. This application can turn anyone’s computer into a virtual fireplace.

The application does this in one of two ways:
1 – You can have a virtual fireplace as your wallpaper. Instead of a boring old static wallpaper, you can have a dynamic wallpaper that displays a roaring fire.
2 – You can have a virtual fireplace as your screensaver. When your computer goes idle, the screensaver becomes active and displays a good looking fireplace.

If that is not enough for you, this application has an ace up its sleeve: music. By default the application plays the crackling sound of burning wood. But I said music, not sound. From the Settings window you can create a playlist and have your own tracks play in the background.

Installation – at the time of writing this, Fireplace 3D Screensaver and Animated Wallpaper provides support for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions). You can install the application in English, German, French and Russian. During the installation process you are asked to install the 3Planesoft Screensaver Manager. This manager provides information about your currently installed 3PlaneSoft screensaver and about other screensaver 3PlaneSoft has to offer. The manager allows you to access the settings of all the 3PlaneSoft screensavers installed on your system. It also comes with a feature to automatically change the screensaver after a specific amount of time, or to display a different screensaver each time the computer goes idle. This manager is quite useful if you have more than one 3PlaneSoft screensaver.
Limitations – after 90 seconds a nag screen will appear. To get rid of this nag screen you have to purchase a license.
